Tennessee SB2222 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 29; Title 38 and Title 50, to establish that a person who compensates a demonstrator for participation in a demonstration may be held vicariously liable for damages if the demonstrator commits specified offenses during the demonstration. The offenses include riot, aggravated riot, disorderly conduct, disrupting a meeting, obstructing a highway, harassment, civil rights intimidation, desecration of a venerated object, civil disorder, disorderly conduct at funerals, and unauthorized placement of signs or markings.
