Tennessee SB2220 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 37 and Title 71, to establish a 45-day timeframe for the Department of Children's Services to complete investigations of child care agencies involving allegations of child abuse and child sexual abuse, unless good cause is shown. These provisions do not apply to investigations into allegations that an operator or employee of a child care agency committed child abuse or child sexual abuse. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
