Tennessee SB2163 amends state law to protect celebrities from liability for injuries or damages related to alcoholic beverages they endorse.

Tennessee SB2163 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 57, to clarify that celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages are not liable for damages unless they own the brand or are directly involved in its operations. The bill defines "celebrity endorsement agreement" and sets criteria for celebrities to qualify, including age, citizenship, and criminal history. It also specifies that personal promotional activities do not constitute ownership or control of the brand. This law aims to protect celebrities from liability for actions of the brands they endorse, unless they meet certain conditions.
