SB2138 modifies Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Title 40, and Title 55, concerning vehicular homicide. It introduces a new subdivision stating that if a person convicted of vehicular homicide is also convicted of reckless driving causing death, they must be punished as a Range II offender. However, the court may impose a sentence within Range III, but it cannot be lower than Range II. This act becomes effective July 1, 2026.
