Tennessee SB2060 amends state laws to allow unpaid job-protected leave for employees in certain situations. Beginning January 1, 2027, municipalities and counties must allow municipal and county employees to take unpaid job-protected leave for a qualifying medical emergency. Qualifying medical emergencies include the birth or stillbirth of a child, caring for a family member with a serious health condition, or the employee's own serious health condition.
