Tennessee SB2026 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 44, to revise procedures for indemnification of destroyed animals. The commissioner will establish rules for indemnity payments based on the fair market value of the animal and fund availability. Partial reimbursement is allowed if full payment is not possible. Indemnification is disallowed if the animal owner violates relevant laws. This act does not appropriate funds and requires specific appropriation by the general appropriations act.
