SB2012 amends Tennessee Code to allow speakers to determine conference attendance for expense allowances.

SB2012 modifies Tennessee Code to give the speakers of the senate and house of representatives the authority to set the number of conferences or conference days for which members can receive expense and mileage allowances. This change applies to official meetings concerning state business, held within or outside Tennessee. The act will take effect on November 3, 2026.
