Tennessee SB2007 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 68, Chapter 221, to impose stricter penalties for unlawful disposal of waste. For violations involving the unlawful discharge of sewage or contaminants, the commissioner can suspend or revoke permits for up to ninety days for a second offense and permanently for a third or subsequent offense. The bill also applies these penalties to violations involving the unlawful disposal of sewage from subsurface systems, with similar escalating consequences for repeat offenders.
