Tennessee SB1995 establishes a statewide day of mourning and flag protocol for deceased former or current state legislators.

Tennessee SB1995 amends the state's flag display protocols to include a statewide day of mourning and flag flown at half-staff for deceased current or former members of the general assembly. The governor must proclaim the mourning period and order the flag's lowering unless the deceased had been convicted of a felony. This act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
