Tennessee SB1955 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, to redefine criminally negligent conduct that results in death as criminally negligent homicide. This includes failing or refusing to render aid to another who is unconscious or in need of medical care, when the person knows or reasonably should know of the unconsciousness or need for medical care. This act takes effect July 1, 2026.
