SB1915 amends Tennessee public benefits laws to expand verification requirements for applicants. State and local governmental entities and local health departments must verify applicants' citizenship or lawful presence status. The attorney general and reporter may investigate credible allegations of fraud. Entities must report applicants found ineligible for benefits and submit monthly reports to the general assembly and other state agencies. The act also revises liability provisions for fraud and establishes a fund for collected penalties.
