Tennessee SB1893 amends the state's jury service laws to allow mothers who are breastfeeding to be excused from jury duty. This exemption requires a supporting medical statement from a licensed physician. The county's jury coordinator must excuse such mothers upon receiving a written request and the physician's statement. This act becomes effective immediately upon becoming law.
