SB1846 amends Tennessee Code to limit the number of permits for commercial operations in the Ocoee River management zone to 24, reducing to 12 after July 1, 2026. Permits can be transferred to immediate family members with prior approval. The bill also restricts permit applications for those whose businesses went out of business within the zone. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
