Tennessee SB1832 mandates annual reporting on energy use and carbon footprint for high performance computing facilities.

Tennessee SB1832 requires operators of high performance computing facilities to annually report their energy consumption and carbon footprint. The report must detail the source and amount of energy used, efforts to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint, and the public benefits derived from the facility's output. The report must be submitted by January 31, 2027, and each subsequent January 31. The Department of Environment and Conservation, the Comptroller of the Treasury, and local government councils must post these reports on their websites.
