Tennessee SB1804 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40 and Title 41, to change the notification process for inmate furloughs. Under the new law, whenever an inmate is granted a furlough, the department must notify the chief law enforcement officer of the county and the police chief of the city, if any, in which the inmate resides. This act takes effect upon becoming law.
