SB1774 amends Tennessee Code to redefine "bullying" as any act by a school employee or student that substantially interferes with a victim's educational benefits, opportunities, or performance. The act specifies that bullying can occur on school grounds or at school-sponsored activities, and can also include acts off school property if directed at a victim and causing substantial disruption. The bill also expands the definition of "school employee" to include private school, LEA, public charter school, and public school employees.
