SB1631 amends Tennessee law to redefine certain violations involving unmanned aircraft over correctional facilities as Class C felonies and allows.

SB1631 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, to redefine certain violations involving unmanned aircraft over correctional facilities as Class C felonies. It also allows correctional facility employees to disable unmanned aircraft operating over correctional facility property. The bill exempts these employees from liability for any damage caused to the unmanned aircraft during the disabling process. This act takes effect July 1, 2026.
