Tennessee SB1584 amends the state's immunization laws to require hospitals to offer influenza immunizations to inpatients aged 50 and older annually from October 1 through March 1, and pneumococcal immunizations before discharge. This requirement follows the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, unless contraindicated or if the vaccine is unavailable. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
