Introduced·1/12/26
Draft Text

Tennessee SB1575 allows governmental bodies to provide public meeting notice via secure internet websites or email.

Tennessee SB1575 amends the state's public meeting notice requirements. It allows governmental bodies to provide adequate notice of meetings by publishing them on a secure internet website, if available. Additionally, if the governmental body publishes an e-newsletter or notices online, it must establish a mechanism for individuals to sign up to receive such notices and e-newsletters by electronic mail or, alternatively, to receive a hard copy by regular mail. The act takes effect upon becoming law, as the public welfare requires.
