Tennessee SB1466 amends Tennessee Code Annotated to revise the recall process for local officials. It mandates that a petition to recall a local official must be signed by registered voters equal to at least 66% of those who voted in the last election. The petition must include a sworn affidavit and a statement of the grounds for removal. If the county election commission finds the petition sufficient, it must notify the public and call an election. If a majority votes "for recall," the official is removed from office.
