Changes the appointment process for Morgan County Attorney from elected to appointed by the Morgan County Commission.
The bill amends Morgan County's legal framework by changing the appointment process for the County Attorney. Instead of being elected by voters, the County Attorney will now be appointed or hired by the Morgan County Commission, subject to their vote. This change applies to the term beginning after the current County Attorney's term ends. The appointed County Attorney must be a licensed practicing attorney and can serve a term of four years without needing to be a resident of Morgan County.
