AN ACT to amend Chapter 553 of the Acts of 1903; as amended by Chapter 311 of the Private Acts of 1974 and Chapter 233 of the Private Acts of 1978; and any other acts amendatory thereto, relative to the city judge of the City of Tullahoma.

Extends the term of the City Judge of Tullahoma and changes election and residency requirements.

This act extends the term of the City Judge of Tullahoma for one year from August 2025. The judge will then be elected at the same time as the Board of Mayor and Aldermen in even-numbered years, starting in 2026, for an eight-year term. The judge must be a practicing attorney in good standing, admitted to practice in Tennessee, and a resident of Tullahoma for one year before the election. The judge's compensation is set by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The act requires approval by a two-thirds vote of Tullahoma's legislative body.
