Tennessee SB1391 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, to create a grant program for anti-choking devices. The Department of Health will reimburse local educational agencies, public charter schools, private schools, and medical first responders for the costs of purchasing these devices. The reimbursement covers one device per cafeteria in schools and one per vehicle for medical first responders. The department will not award more than $500,000 in total grants. Annual reports on the grant program will be submitted to the General Assembly starting by July 31, 2026.
