Tennessee SB1381 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 13 and Title 33, relative to housing. The bill allows local governments to adopt ordinances or resolutions regulating the location and operation of sober living homes. These regulations must comply with the Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The bill also mandates that sober living homes be located at least 1,000 feet from K-12 educational facilities, preschools, or daycare facilities.
