SB1344 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7 and Title 57, to change the conditions under which package stores can operate. The bill modifies the language to allow package stores in both urban and general services districts of metropolitan governments. It also adds a new subsection to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 57-3-106, allowing a metropolitan government to approve the retail sale of liquor by local option election, enabling a retailer's license for package stores. The act takes effect upon becoming law.
