Tennessee SB1327 amends Title 49 of the Tennessee Code Annotated to mandate that the board of regents, the University of Tennessee, and the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association submit a report by April 1, 2009, to the Tennessee higher education commission. The report must detail the reasonable efforts taken by these institutions to prevent the infringement of copyrighted works over their computer and network resources. The act becomes effective immediately upon becoming law.
