SB1276 amends Tennessee's local parks land acquisition fund to require matching grants for projects.
SB1276 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-4-409, to change the matching grant requirements for local parks land acquisition projects. Under the new law, a county or municipal government must match a grant with an equal amount of money for each project. However, for projects in counties designated as distressed or at-risk by the Appalachian Regional Commission, the matching amount is reduced to 25% of the project cost. This act takes effect October 1, 2025.
