SB1266 amends Tennessee Code to extend the eligibility for foster care services for young adults until they turn 23. These services are available to those who were in the custody of the Department of Children's Services at age 18 or were adopted or approved for subsidized permanent guardianship between ages 16 and 18. To qualify, young adults must be completing secondary education, enrolled in postsecondary education, participating in employment programs, employed at least 80 hours per month, or unable to do these activities due to a medical condition.
