Allows Tennessee General Assembly members to receive expense and mileage allowances on weekends for attending meetings.
This bill amends Tennessee Code to allow members of the General Assembly to receive expense and mileage allowances on Saturdays or Sundays if they are arriving to attend or in anticipation of attending a meeting germane to the business of the General Assembly. This allowance applies to both regular and special sessions. The change takes effect on November 3, 2026.
