Tennessee SB1156 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 47, Chapter 18 and Title 53 to mandate that food containing nanotechnology must be labeled as such. The bill defines nanotechnology as human-created structures, devices, and systems designed by manipulating atoms and molecules with dimensions of 100 nanometers or less, capable of collecting and transmitting data. This act will take effect on July 1, 2025.
