Tennessee SB1134 tasks the Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) with a comprehensive evaluation of health insurers' processes for approving or denying coverage or reimbursement, notification of denials, appeal processes, recoupment for successful appeals, reserve fund management, and audit frequency. State departments must assist TACIR. By January 15, 2026, TACIR must report findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, to relevant committees. The evaluation excludes TennCare and CoverKids programs.
