Tennessee SB1129 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, by adding new offenses related to firearms and motor vehicles. It makes it a Class A misdemeanor to possess a firearm known or reasonably suspected to be stolen. It also creates new offenses for unauthorized control of a motor vehicle, with penalties based on the intent to deprive the owner. These changes will take effect on July 1, 2025.
