Tennessee SB1108 amends Title 49 of the Tennessee Code Annotated to modify the process for local boards of education to declare their Local Education Agencies (LEA) as high performing school districts. If a local board declares its LEA as high performing, it must notify the Tennessee Department of Education. The department is then required to publish a list of these high performing LEAs on its website. This act becomes effective upon becoming law.
