This bill amends Tennessee law to adjust the statute of limitations for certain offenses and child sexual abuse cases. For offenses committed on or after July 1, 2019, but before July 1, 2025, prosecution must occur within 25 years from the victim reaching 18 years of age, requiring corroborating evidence if more than 25 years have passed. For offenses committed on or after July 1, 2025, prosecution must occur within 30 years from the victim reaching 18 years of age, also requiring corroborating evidence if more than 30 years have passed.
