Tennessee SB1038 amends agent fees for licenses, permits, and registrations sold by county clerks or designated agents.

Tennessee SB1038 modifies Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 70-2-106, to change the fee structure for agents selling licenses, permits, stamps, tags, registrations, or other privileges. County clerks or designated agents can now collect a flat fee of three dollars for annual licenses or permits and three dollars for licenses or permits valid for a specified day or number of days. Alternatively, the executive director can establish an agent fee through competitive bidding for selling these items over the telephone or electronically. This act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
