SB1019

Tennessee SB1019 amends education funding provisions for public charter schools.

Tennessee SB1019 amends the state's education funding provisions for public charter schools. It modifies the calculation of funding for students in public charter schools, ensuring that funding is based on the prior year's membership and includes state and local funds, as well as federal allocations. The bill also mandates that the Department of Education allocate directly to public charter schools an amount equal to the state student-generated funds for member students in the prior year.
