SB0886 amends Tennessee real estate broker license requirements, including education hours and exemptions.
SB0886 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 13, concerning real estate broker licenses. It specifies that within three years of receiving an original broker's license, a licensee must complete an additional 120 classroom hours in real estate courses. Every two years thereafter, a broker's licensee must complete 16 classroom hours in real estate courses for license renewal. A broker licensee originally licensed before January 1, 2005, and not supervising any affiliate brokers is exempt from the 16-hour requirement. The act takes effect upon becoming law.
