Tennessee SB0880 amends Tennessee Code to require agencies to base regulatory actions on sound science for substances, mixtures, or chemicals related to drinking water, water pollution control, hazardous substances, contaminated site remediation, air quality, or solid or hazardous waste handling. This applies to actions adopted after July 1, 2025, and more stringent than federal regulations or adopted in the absence of federal regulations.
