Amends Tennessee Code to establish criminal penalties for impersonating a transportation network company driver or a private passenger-for-hire vehicle driver. It is an offense to falsely represent a current connection with a transportation network company or to falsely claim to be responding to a passenger ride request for such a company. The offense is a Class B misdemeanor, escalating to a Class E felony if committed during another felony. The act also addresses impersonation of private passenger-for-hire vehicle drivers, with similar penalties. The changes take effect July 1, 2025.
