Tennessee SB0642 amends Tennessee Code to create the "Tennessee Voluntary Do Not Sell Firearms Act." This act allows individuals to file a voluntary waiver of firearm rights form with their county's circuit court clerk, prohibiting them from possessing or receiving firearms. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) must enter these forms into the national instant criminal background check system. A person who knowingly violates this waiver faces a civil fine of up to $100 and may complete community service instead.
