The bill defines "cell-cultured food product" as a food product produced without slaughter by growing cells in a controlled environment. It mandates the Department of Agriculture to create rules to enforce this prohibition. Violations can result in fines up to one million dollars and permit revocation for food establishments. The act takes effect July 1, 2025.
