Amends Tennessee boating operator requirements, removing the word "monitored" and updating the process for obtaining a boating certificate.
This bill amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 69, Chapter 9, to change the requirements for obtaining a boating operator certificate. It removes the word "monitored" from the relevant section and updates the process to require successful completion of a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) approved boating safety examination and the receipt of a certificate from the agency. The commission is authorized to set fees for issuing and replacing the boating operator certificate. The changes take effect immediately upon becoming law.
