The bill amends Tennessee law to change who pays for electronic monitoring devices for prisoners released for work. If a prisoner is released to perform unpaid work, the entity utilizing the prisoner for work will pay the costs. If a prisoner is released for paid employment, the prisoner will pay the costs. The changes take effect July 1, 2025.
