SB0375 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55, to enhance penalties for repeat offenses of driving without a seatbelt. A first violation of not wearing a seatbelt is classified as a Class B misdemeanor. A second or subsequent violation is classified as a Class A misdemeanor. Convictions older than ten years do not count towards the enhanced penalty. This amendment applies to offenses committed on or after July 1, 2025.
