Tennessee SB0345 modifies the state's abortion laws by criminalizing the procedure unless it is performed by a licensed physician who determines it necessary to protect the pregnant woman's physical or mental health. Additionally, it allows for abortion if the pregnancy resulted from aggravated rape, rape, rape of a child, especially aggravated rape, especially aggravated rape of a child, or incest. Criminal abortion is classified as a Class C felony. This act takes effect July 1, 2025.
