Complete·5/27/25

Establishes a registry for persistent domestic violence offenders in Tennessee, effective January 1, 2026.

This bill, known as "Savanna's Law," creates a registry for persistent domestic violence offenders in Tennessee. It defines a persistent domestic violence offender as someone convicted of an offense against a domestic abuse victim with at least one prior conviction for such an offense. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) will maintain this registry, which includes the offender's name, date of birth, conviction date, county of conviction, and a current photograph. The registry will be available for public inquiry online.
