Tennessee SB0298 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 6, to allow local education agencies and public charter schools to offer nonsectarian, nonreligious Bible courses. The bill requires the Tennessee Department of Education to list approved Bible courses and their academic standards on its website. Local education agencies and public charter schools must also make their Bible course curricula available online. The bill takes effect upon becoming law and applies to the 2025-2026 school year.
