Tennessee SB0248 amends Tennessee Code Annotated to classify as a Class B misdemeanor the act of parking, leaving a vehicle standing, or stopping a vehicle on a street or highway to block or impede traffic for employment solicitations. It also changes the penalty for violations of this section to a Class C misdemeanor, with a warning citation for first offenses. If such a violation causes or contributes to a motor vehicle accident, the violation becomes a Class B misdemeanor. The act takes effect July 1, 2025.
