Tennessee SB0227 amends the state's charitable organization law to allow for liability against organizations that knowingly house individuals unlawfully present in the United States. If such individuals commit crimes while receiving housing services, the organization may be held liable for resulting losses, damages, injuries, or deaths. This change takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
