Complete·5/14/26

Tennessee SB0225 amends state law to ensure equal reimbursement for chiropractic services compared to other medical services.

Tennessee SB0225 amends Tennessee Code Annotated to ensure that health insurance entities do not discriminate between chiropractic physicians and other licensed physicians when calculating reimbursement for services. The bill specifies that if a service is listed in a nationally recognized code book, the reimbursement must be equal regardless of the type of physician. It also allows the use of national uniform relative value units (RVUs) for determining reimbursement. The changes take effect on July 1, 2025.
